Is holistic therapy right for me?

Are you able to simply send your brain to work while your body takes the nap it so desperately needs? How about spending time in quiet contemplation while your anxiety goes for a walk? Me neither. You are a whole system. Mind, Body, Emotions, Energy systems and Spiritual body. They are not independently functioning, separate entities. It is all you. And all of you needs therapeutic support to heal, evolve and grow.

Part of the therapy process is to help you find and accept the present moment—​who you are and where you are. It is important to first acknowledge what is going on within and come to a place of acceptance. Once this acceptance is achieved, we can move toward letting go…. of resistance, fears, tensions and outdated patterns. This creates the space for discovery and creativity. Once you are anchored into your Self, you have choice to move in the direction that will best serve you and the lifepath you choose to cultivate.

If you are looking to truly engage the multiple facets of who you are and your life experiences, I am here for you. My practice brings body-centered psychotherapy and energy psychotherapy techniques to the mix. I offer Pagan counseling services if that fits your path. Mindfulness based skills and contemplative practices are right up my alley!

Before you ever become my client, we talk. I want to know what your struggle is and how you see your life being different when our time together concludes. I need to meet you to know if I can help you and if we are a good fit to work together. And I will tell you the truth. I may not be the best therapist for you at this time. If that is the case, I will tell you. There is no reason to try to force a fit. It doesn’t serve you or me.

THINGS CAN GET BETTER.

You've realized that it's time to make a change. Maybe you've been to therapy before and you "get it" mentally, but you still can't "shift it" in your body. Through the therapy process you are provided a fresh perspective on a difficult problem or pointed in the direction of a solution. We all need a safe and supportive environment to explore life's challenges. Therapy is a proactive way to take care of yourself and prioritize your well-being. Not only can sessions be immediately stress relieving and healing because of the empathy and compassion you receive, but over time you can actually learn how to transform pain to empowerment and change your life!

Therapy can provide support and problem-solving skills, and enhance coping strategies for issues such as trauma responses, relationship troubles, unresolved childhood problems, grief, stress management, and spiritual concerns. You can't be expected to know how to deal perfectly with everything. Problems with relationships, friends, family, work, and health issues can lead to symptoms of anxiety, stress, sleeplessness and depression.

My job is to assist you in navigating life's transitions and challenges in order to improve your relationship with others and yourself. Through therapy we can foster a deeper understanding of previous experiences that influence your world today and how you can overcome those that may be clouding how you function. My clients emerge from the therapy process with a sense of overall well-being, increased self-esteem, hopefulness, a feeling of strength, self-awareness and clarity about their Lifepath.
